Fantasia Fest 2020: Climate of the Hunter
2019 | Drama/Thriller | 1hr 30mins
Two sisters compete for the affections of a man who may be a vampire.
Climate of the Hunter is a lovely looking throwback film. The 4:3 ratio and snazzy costumes bring a wonderful atmosphere and there is nothing better then having a great cast with each one eating up their screentime.
Unfortunately, the script is just bloated. There was too many scenes I felt got really wordy. Scenes of each character going into a explanation made me sigh and think, here we go again. With a running time of 1hr 30min, a good trim to the bloat was needed. This is the type of film that has a lot going for it, except for the most important part, the script.
