2022 Brooklyn Horror Film Festival: First Look

As daylight shrinks, and temps begin to sink…the nerds at Simplistic Reviews being to think…who the hell gave them access and the privilege to lend their twisted thoughts on this year’s Brooklyn Horror Film Festival?

Well we’re not going to tell you that, but the unholy triumvirate are here to give a first look at just some of the films that are sure to make your skin crawl.

Sinphony

Of course we have to start with an anthology. Told through 11 segments, or movements, if you will, about a supernatural force affecting each character in different ways, and look at this freaky clown! Check out the trailer HERE

Influencer

Anytime some bad happens to a self-absorbed ‘influencer’ an angel gets their wings…did you all know that?

‘Influencer’ looks like a classic ‘something-bad-is-going-to-happen-to-someone-when-they-trust-the-wrong-person’ type of flick; and we’re in.

The World Premier of ‘Influencer’ will be at Brooklyn Horror Film Festival.

The Weird Kidz

When you hear that a film took eight years to make, you have to tip your hat. Drawn entirely by hand, ‘The Weird Kidz’ is a loving look at the 80s with a monster on the loose.

The World Premier of ‘The Weird Kidz’ will be at Brooklyn Horror Film Festival.

Old Flame

Ex-lovers reunite, terror begins. You know I’m in.

Directed by Christopher Denham, the director of the underrated and under-seen, ‘Preservation,’ ‘Old Flame’ looks like a fresh take on the ‘meeting-back-up-after-a-long-time-and-crazy-stuff-happens’ trope.

The World Premier of ‘Old Flame’ will be at Brooklyn Horror Film Festival.

Mother, May I?

Everyone is talking about therapy these days. “You should go to therapy.” “Why don’t you go to therapy?” “Therapy will help you!”

My guess after watching ‘Mother, May I?’ we’ll all need to go to therapy after what looks like a twisted date night with no Netflix and certainly no chill.

The World Premier of ‘Mother, May I?’ will be at Brooklyn Horror Film Festival.

The 2022 Brooklyn Horror Film Festival runs from October 13th-20th.

Simplistic Reviews will have coverage throughout the week of the festival.
